What we send
IME Watchdog attends independent medical examinations (IMEs) on behalf of the examinee’s law firm. With the examinee’s consent, we may send them texts about that appointment only: a booking confirmation, reminders before the appointment (for example a week before, the day before and about an hour before), and a notice if the appointment is rescheduled or cancelled. We never send marketing messages. Message frequency varies with appointment activity — usually up to four messages per examination; a reschedule or cancellation adds a notice, and a rescheduled appointment is reminded again. Message and data rates may apply.
How examinees opt in
- The examinee’s law firm books the examination on our web platform (app.imewatchdog.com). The booking form requires a law-firm login.
- Before booking, the firm asks the examinee whether they agree to receive texts from IME Watchdog, using this script:
“IME Watchdog, the company attending your medical exam with you, may send you text messages about this appointment — a confirmation, reminders before the appointment (for example a week before, the day before and about an hour before), and any changes — at this mobile number. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to stop them. Is that OK?”
- Only if the examinee says yes does the firm enter the examinee’s mobile number. The number is optional. Next to the number field, the form shows:
By entering this number, you confirm the examinee has agreed to receive text messages about this IME appointment (confirmations, reminders and changes). Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy.
- Entering the number is the firm’s confirmation that the examinee agreed. We record that consent was given this way, the wording shown, and when.
- If no mobile number is entered, we send no texts. Consent is not a condition of the examination. An examinee who replies STOP gets no further texts.
